Summer Solstice camp - Llyn Y Fan Fach

A summer solstice camp beside the cold dark glacial lake Llyn Y Fan Fach. I've camped by this lake a few times, and it's always been peaceful - this time round, local farmers were herding the sheep off the mountains and around the lake for a couple of hours, so this set of images begins with a focus on them. As it was solstice, I was asleep later than normal and up at around 3:30am to watch the sunrise. From the tent I had a view right across the lake and into the rising sun. It wasn't the most amazing sunrise but it was worth the effort. The other lake, Llyn Y Fan Fawr remains my favourite in the area, but this one is so easy to access it's still a great place to spend the night.
