#121 Transition into sleep - Autumnal woodland
A series of images from the woods. Nature tending towards the annual slow-down, turning to warm hues before the cold sleep of winter. Most of these are using one of 2 vintage lenses - a 50mm Pentacon, or a 35mm Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon. This gives beautiful softness, and stunning colours - and an interesting hexagonal bokeh. But it can also lead to quirky effects on the image that may or may not be attractive to the viewer! There's a shot later in the set, of a tree trunk with ivy - where I take one version at something like F5.6 or , which is more technically "sharp" image - and then the same image at F1.8 - which introduces bokeh swirl, vignetting and image softness. See which you prefer.
