#91 Avonmouth / Severn Beach
Severn Beach holds a rugged charm. The Severn Estuary stretches out, vast and grey, dotted with the industrial silhouettes of ships on the distant horizon. Here, the beauty lies in the raw power of nature meeting the scars of human industry. Avonmouth, on the other hand, leans fully into its industrial might. Towering refineries pierce the sky, their pipes a maze of steel against the ever-present haze. Trains rumble by, carrying their cargo, the rhythmic clang a constant soundtrack. The aesthetic is stark, utilitarian, a testament to human ingenuity. Yet, there's a strange beauty in the organized chaos, a symphony of metal and steam. A longer lens would have allowed better compositions, but this was a scouting trip to see what type of images can be made from the area.
